Welcoming the Next Generation

Earlier today, we welcomed a group of Young Agri Leader students from Castle Douglas High School to CWP and Robinsons for a behind-the-scenes look at how our products are manufactured and how projects come together from start to finish.

At CWP, the visit gave students the opportunity to learn more about the journey from raw materials to finished products.

As they made their way through the yard, the group saw concrete being mixed and poured, learned about the testing procedures that help ensure quality and consistency, and explored some of our precast products, including A-Walls and interlocking blocks.

The students also visited Robinsons, where they gained an insight into the steel manufacturing process and the different stages involved in producing our buildings.

The visit forms part of an ongoing partnership with the Young Agri Leaders programme, designed to support students throughout their studies and give them a real-world understanding of the industries that support agriculture.

This is just the first of several visits planned throughout the programme. Next, we’ll be taking the group to a live site, where they’ll have the opportunity to see a project in action and put some of their new knowledge to the test.

The students and staff were a credit to the school throughout, and it was a pleasure to welcome them to CWP and Robinsons. We look forward to seeing the group again soon.
