Home | News | Sustainable Concrete Production: Partnering with The Rebuild Site

As a manufacturer, CWP is always looking for ways to work smarter and more responsibly. We recently visited The Rebuild Site CIC in Carlisle to see their incredible work in reuse and recycling, and we left feeling truly inspired.

For us, this visit was a vital step in our ongoing commitment to sustainable concrete production. By partnering with local social enterprises, we are ensuring that surplus materials are given a second life rather than being treated as waste.

Why Circularity Matters in Concrete Manufacturing

The construction industry is a major contributor to landfill, but it doesn’t have to be that way. By focusing on sustainable concrete production, we can ensure that leftover materials are redistributed to those who can put them to good use – whether that’s for community projects or local DIYers.

The Benefits of Our Partnership

Partnering with The Rebuild Site allows us to align our daily operations with our wider environmental goals:

A Practical Step Forward

Working toward sustainable concrete production isn’t just about big promises; it’s about practical changes in how we handle our yard and our materials. This partnership represents a tangible move toward a more circular economy.

We are proud to see our materials heading somewhere they can actually be used. It’s a positive step for CWP, for our community, and for the planet.
