It’s been a high-energy week at the CWP Concrete yard. We are currently in the process of loading and dispatching over 70 bespoke precast concrete foundations for a major new substation project in Coalburn.

When it comes to national infrastructure, there is no room for error. These bases are headed to the heart of a site where they will support critical equipment, ensuring the stability and durability required to power communities across the UK.

Why Use Precast Concrete Foundations for Infrastructure?

In a project of this scale, consistency is key. Choosing precast concrete foundations over traditional on-site pours offers several distinct advantages that are vital for substation developments:

Built for Long-Term Performance

Substations require foundations that can withstand significant weight and environmental stress for decades. Our precast concrete foundations are manufactured using high-strength mixes designed for maximum longevity.

Seeing these units lined up and ready for delivery is a testament to the hard work of the CWP team. From the initial mold to the final quality check, we ensure that every piece of concrete leaving our yard is fit for purpose and built to last.

Infrastructure projects like Coalburn require a right first tim’ approach. Our precast solutions provide the solid ground these major developments need to succeed.

At CWP, we specialise in high-quality precast solutions for the industrial, agricultural, and infrastructure sectors. Whether you need standard products or bespoke engineering like these substation bases, we deliver durability you can trust.
