Enhancing Capacity and Sustainability for Precast Concrete Production

CWP Concrete is investing £750,000 to significantly expand its manufacturing operations at its precast concrete facility in Southwest Scotland. The new manufacturing building, set for completion in early March, will enable the company to grow its core portfolio of precast concrete products. Additionally, the expansion includes a 650-kw biomass boiler, supporting CWP’s sustainability goals and improving energy efficiency.

New Facilities and Improved Infrastructure

The expansion project also features a new purpose-built welfare facility, supplied and erected by Robinsons. This facility will provide an improved working environment, including:

Furthermore, a new security access system will be installed, featuring:

These upgrades will enhance traffic management and give the business better control over vehicle access.

Boosting Production Capacity and Sustainability

The new building will be fully commissioned in the coming weeks, significantly expanding manufacturing operations and increasing production capacity for CWP’s core product range. Moreover, the introduction of the biomass boiler aligns with CWP’s commitment to sustainability, reducing the facility’s carbon footprint and energy costs.
