Enhancing Capacity and Sustainability for Precast Concrete Production

CWP Concrete is investing £750,000 to significantly expand its manufacturing operations at its precast concrete facility in Southwest Scotland. The new manufacturing building, set for completion in early March, will enable the company to grow its core portfolio of precast concrete products. Additionally, the expansion includes a 650-kw biomass boiler, supporting CWP’s sustainability goals and improving energy efficiency.

New Facilities and Improved Infrastructure

The expansion project also features a new purpose-built welfare facility, supplied and erected by Robinsons. This facility will provide an improved working environment, including:

• A canteen for staff
• A drying room
• Allocated car parking areas

Furthermore, a new security access system will be installed, featuring:

• An electronic gate system and access barrier
• Key fob access and intercom for inbound deliveries

These upgrades will enhance traffic management and give the business better control over vehicle access.
