Delivering Innovative Ground Engineering Solutions

CWP Concrete has secured a contract with Van-Elle, the UK’s largest ground engineering contractor. As part of this partnership, CWP will supply concrete piles and beams to support Van-Elle’s foundation systems for residential housing developments across the UK. Piled foundations are widely used in the construction industry to support structures such as houses, high-rise buildings, office blocks, and highway and rail infrastructure.

Collaborative Design and Manufacturing

Production at CWP’s 3,000m² onsite manufacturing facility in Southwest Scotland began in September 2019. CWP’s design team worked closely with Van-Elle’s engineers to create concrete beams tailored to their exact specifications. Unique moulds and steel cages were designed to produce a custom ground engineering solution for Van-Elle and their clients.

Ryan Brown, Managing Director at CWP Concrete, said:
“CWP’s ability to design and manufacture to specification at scale is a real benefit for clients like Van-Elle. We collaborate with clients across the UK to deliver unique precast and pre-stressed concrete products, supporting innovative ground engineering solutions. Our products are developed in partnership with clients, and our ability to scale production and modify designs sets us apart from mainstream suppliers.”

CWP’s manufacturing facility features on-site concrete batching capabilities and a 4,000m² stock storage area. This allows clients to call off products efficiently for delivery to sites across the UK. Additionally, the facility includes in-house fabrication services, enabling closer collaboration with contractors across various sectors.
