Dumfries & Galloway Farm Project
We recently supplied 45 precast T Walls to a local farm here in Dumfries & Galloway, helping create a series of new internal storage bays within an existing shed.
The aim of the project was simple. Create strong, permanent storage that could handle the day-to-day pressure of agricultural use without needing revisited in a few years’ time.
The Requirement
The farm was upgrading its internal layout to improve bulk storage capacity and organisation.
They needed something that would:
• Retain heavy materials safely
• Work alongside a new concrete floor
• Stand up to machinery traffic
• Last long term in an agricultural environment
Precast T Walls were the natural fit.

The Installation
All 45 T Walls were delivered to site ready for install and positioned in line to form the new storage bays.
Rather than leaving them freestanding, the walls were concreted into the new floor slab. This effectively locked them into place and created a fully permanent storage setup.
It is a popular approach on farms where bays are staying put long term and need to take consistent loading from materials and machinery.
Built for Agricultural Use
Across the wider farm, other bays are used for silage storage, so the retaining system needed to be capable of handling the same kind of pressure and working environment.
T Walls are designed for exactly that.
Their central stem and wide base distribute weight evenly, giving them the strength to retain bulk materials while remaining structurally stable over time.
When tied into a concrete floor like this, they become part of the building infrastructure itself.

The Result
A clean, organised run of permanent storage bays built to handle daily agricultural demands.
No shuttering. No on-site pours. No waiting around for curing.
Just precast walls installed, fixed and ready to work.
