JOB OVERVIEW:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Steel Operative to join our team. As a Steel Operative, you will be responsible for the production and installation of rebar within our concrete structures to give them the support and stability they require
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key duties and responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to:
- Measure and cut rebar to fit project specifications.
- Use power tools and other equipment to bend and shape rebar as needed.
- Ensure all installed rebar is correctly aligned, positioned, and supported.
- Follow safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment for proper functioning.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
