Building a sustainable future

At CWP, we’ve spent some time rethinking how concrete can support a more sustainable future.

Concrete might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of environmentally friendly materials, but we’re proud to be changing that.

Through innovation, care and commitment, we’re proving that concrete can be both incredibly strong and kinder to the planet.

Our factories are powered by two biomass boilers, which use sustainable fuel sources to generate energy. This not only reduces our carbon emissions but also ensures that our operations are as eco-friendly as possible

Innovation in action: Our self-compacting concrete

Our technical team has developed somethihng we’re genuinely proud of: self compacting concrete (SCC).It’s more than just an improvement, it’s a total game-changer in how concrete is produced and used.

Benefits of our SCC include:

  • Superior finish that exceeds industry standards
  • Quieter operation, thanks to reduced noice during placement
  • Lower carbon emissions through the use of GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag)

How we’re making concrete more sustainable

Our approach to sustainability goes well beyond product development. We look at every part of our operation to make sure we’re doing things responsibly and efficiently.

Water management

Our rainwater harvesting system collects and reuses water on site. Since installation, it’s helped us recycle over 2 million litres, showing how practical solutions can make a real impact.

Sustainable energy

Two biomass boilers now power our facilities, helping to significantly cut our carbon footprint while keeping our production standards high.

Reducing waste

We take a careful, systematic approach to minimise waste across every stage of production. This not only reduces environmental impact but also makes our processes more efficient.

Working together for a greener future

When you choose CWP you’re not just buying premium materials, you’re joining us in building a more sustaiable future for construction.

We take pride in the quality of our work (maybe a little too much sometimes!) but that’s because we believe the details matter – for our customers and for the planet.
