Winning this award is a testament to the hard work of our entire team through the current climate and their sheer determination to succeed.”
“We would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the years to reach our goals and grow our business. We look forward to what the future holds with our ambitious expansion plans.”
When setting out in business CWP’s aim was to manufacture concrete wall panels for the agricultural market, however, our product range soon expanded to serve other industries and sectors. The first year of operating saw the extensive expansion of CWP’s manufacturing site. CWP now offer a range of innovative products including a new CWP Feeder System. The CWP product portfolio has adapted to new industrial markets and A Walls, T Walls and CWP Delta Blocks have been added to the core product range.
During the growth of CWP’s manufacturing operations, counteracting the environmental footprint has been an ongoing focus. This has seen the introduction of a number of innovative sustainability initiatives including the rainwater collection system. The business’s corporate social responsibility initiatives has supported the team in giving back to local communities and supporting our local young people.
Jim Brown, Chairman said;
“The need to give back to our communities and protect the environment is what we believe has been a key component to our success in winning this award. We are very proud to be awarded Most Promising New Business.”
CWP have ambitious plans to develop operations, manufacturing innovation and processes and the skills of the team over the next three years. The erection of a second manufacturing plant is currently in development. The extra 800m2 of production capacity will allow the business to manufacture a new range of precast products currently in demand from a range of clients in ground engineering working in the housing sector.
In line with the expansion, CWP is focused on local recruitment and developing the skills of the next generation. Working in the local area to provide training opportunities is pivotal to their workforce plan. This includes delivering a skills programme with schools to educate young people about the options within local manufacturing and to encourage young people into manufacturing as a career pathway.
