We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our team. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for assisting in various warehouse tasks in our concrete pouring sheds and operating both power and hand tools.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The key duties and responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to:
- Stripping out freestanding moulds and handling steel reinforcement cages.
- Welding steel reinforcement cages.
- Able to read drawings and make steel reinforcement cages to a high standard.
- Assembling and cleaning precast moulds.
- Pouring concrete and finishing units to a high standard.
- Cutting and bending reinforcing steel to be used in the production of concrete products.
- Operating power tools and hand tools.
- Working as a team to meet production standards and deadlines.
- Monitoring situations to adjust and maintain quality.
- Undertaking basic maintenance and regular equipment checks within the factories.
- Performing housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
- Undertaking any relevant training in line with own personal development needs and business requirements.
- Complying with the company’s policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
- Assisting with additional duties when required to support the department or company objectives.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment with welding is preferred
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
